Description
This course will transcript the non-credit Idaho State Fire Fighters certification courses to 33 credits so they can be utilized as the technical skills courses for the Fire Service Technology A.A.S. degree. These courses are delivered through fire departments statewide.
Fire Service-related courses such as the following are included in this transcription: Fire Fighter II, Technical Rescue, Hazmat, Rescue, Extrication, Fire Investigation, Paramedic, Wildland, Emergency Medical Technician, Building Construction, Incident Command System, Driver Operation, Fire Officer, and Instructor. For every 15 hours of theory/lecture training 1 credit will be awarded, and for every 30 hours of skills-based/lab training 1 credit will be awarded.
