Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
Apply basic electrical theory to analyze, build, and troubleshoot simple AC/DC circuits and motor applications using appropriate test equipment and documentation.
Demonstrate OSHA-aligned industrial safety practices when working around robots, conveyors, electrical panels, and automated equipment.
Configure and program basic PLC systems using ladder logic, wiring discrete I/O, and testing simple automated processes in a lab environment.
Explain and utilize industrial communication concepts and foundational cybersecurity practices for connected PLC, robotic, and automation devices.
Write and adapt simple Python programs to solve practical automation-related problems, including data handling and use of common libraries.
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in technical teams, using written, oral, and interpersonal skills appropriate for industry settings.
