 Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

  1. Apply basic electrical theory to analyze, build, and troubleshoot simple AC/DC circuits and motor applications using appropriate test equipment and documentation.

  2. Demonstrate OSHA-aligned industrial safety practices when working around robots, conveyors, electrical panels, and automated equipment.

  3. Configure and program basic PLC systems using ladder logic, wiring discrete I/O, and testing simple automated processes in a lab environment.

  4. Explain and utilize industrial communication concepts and foundational cybersecurity practices for connected PLC, robotic, and automation devices.

  5. Write and adapt simple Python programs to solve practical automation-related problems, including data handling and use of common libraries.

  6. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in technical teams, using written, oral, and interpersonal skills appropriate for industry settings.
