Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  1. Apply foundational knowledge and models of a natural or physical science to analyze and/or predict phenomena.

  2. Interpret and communicate scientific information via written, spoken and/or visual representations.

  3. Describe the relevance of specific science principles to the human experience.

  4. Form and test a hypothesis in the laboratory, classroom or field using discipline specific tools and techniques for data collection and/or analysis.

  5. Demonstrate the ability to explain observations and relate these to scientific theory.

  6. Create a coherent narrative utilizing physics/science principles to describe basic physical processes.

In addition to the program outcomes, students will meet the North Idaho College General Education (GEM) Requirements.
